The Shimano CUES system offers a good range of 10 gears with a low climbing gear and a rapid-fire shifter that will feel familiar to many. This would be a great choice for a rider looking for the lowest price, lowest weight or most straightforward rear wheel removal, and who might ride primarily on roads.
